ReplayShield Privacy Policy

ReplayShield is a Chrome extension that modifies the YouTube interface to reduce spoilers while watching sports replays.

Data We Do Not Collect

ReplayShield does not collect analytics.

ReplayShield does not sell user data.

ReplayShield does not collect browsing history.

ReplayShield does not collect, store, or transmit the videos you watch.

ReplayShield does not operate a server-side database for extension user data.

Settings and Keywords

ReplayShield stores extension settings, enabled sport presets, and custom spoiler keywords using chrome.storage.sync.

Chrome sync storage is provided by the browser and may sync across Chrome profiles signed in with the same Google account, depending on the user's Chrome settings.

ReplayShield uses these settings only to apply spoiler protection on YouTube watch pages.

Payment and Licensing

ReplayShield requires a EUR 4.99 lifetime license.

Payment is processed externally by ExtensionPay/Stripe. ReplayShield uses ExtensionPay to check whether a license is active.

ReplayShield is not sold by Google.

Permissions

ReplayShield requests the storage permission to save settings.

ReplayShield requests host access for https://www.youtube.com/* so the content script can hide spoiler-prone YouTube interface elements.

ReplayShield also requests host access for https://extensionpay.com/* so the bundled ExtensionPay library can complete payment and license-status requests from the extension.

ReplayShield does not request Chrome history, tabs, bookmarks, downloads, or broad website access permissions.
